Sutherlin used a 17-0 run in the first half to beat Mazama during an opening round game at the OSAA 4A state tournament in Hillsboro.

Senior Miranda Mendenhall scored a game-high 18 points and Olivia Gulliford added nine points to lead the top-ranked Bulldogs to a 44-26 win Thursday afternoon at Liberty High School.
