Five Douglas County basketball players have been recognized by coaches in the Far West League.

South Umpqua senior Erik Johnson was named to the first team along with North Bend's Cam Lucero (POY) and Drew Matthews, Christian Edwards of Brookings-Harbor and Marshfield's Hunter Olson and Rylee Trendell.

Johnson finished his prep career as the school's all-time leading scorer.

SU junior Nathan Thompson and sophomore Cody Gray were second-team selections.

Two Douglas girls received all-league honors with Darian Mitchell named to the first team and teammate Rachel Hickam selected to the second team.
