ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Roseburg baseball team has yet to taste victory in 2015, though it came close Friday before heavy rainfall ended what was shaping up to be a spectacular comeback against visiting McMinnville at Roseburg's Legion Memorial Field.
The Grizzlies scored three runs in each of the first two innings to stake a 6-0 lead early on, but Roseburg fought back with two runs in the bottom of the third, one in the fourth, and four runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game 7-7 before umpires called it after five innings due to rain.
McMinnville banged out 10 hits to Roseburg's six in the tie ballgame. The Indians committed three errors in the contest.
Roseburg's next scheduled game is a spring break doubleheader at Pendleton on Monday.
