The Douglas softball team picked up its first win of the season with an 11-8 victory at North Valley during a busy Friday for Douglas County softball teams.

The Trojans (1-1) avenged an 8-6 loss to the Knights from earlier in the week. Their next scheduled game is March 31st at home against Cottage Grove.

Glide and North Douglas split their non-conference twin bill Friday, with the Wildcats winning the opener 7-5 and the Warriors winning 4-3 in the second game.

Riddle beat Oakland in a close game 8-7 in a battle of Class 2A squads.

Reedsport fell to North Bend 10-3.
