Oakland's baseball team was one run better than Country Christian Saturday, winning 9-8 in eight innings at the Les Schwab Icebreaker Tournament at Grant Union High School in John Day.

The Oakers scored enough runs to take care of Culver Friday in a 14-6 win at the Grant Union Tournament in John Day.

Elsewhere Friday, Reedsport won its early game against Redding Christian 12-4 at the American Christian Academy Tournament in California. They faced tourney host American Christian later in the day and suffered a 10-8 loss.

In softball Riddle blasted Bandon 11-1.
