SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- The Sutherlin High School girls’ basketball team was named the “MaxPreps Oregon Team of the Week presented by the Oregon Army National Guard” for the week of March 18th.

The Lady Bulldogs (28-0) completed their second consecutive unbeaten season with a 51-46 win over Henley for their second straight Class 4A state title.

The team is one of thirty teams being honored in the state.

A celebration will be held at the SHS gym on Tuesday, March 31 at 11:30 a.m.

According to MaxPreps Oregon, the honor is reserved for teams who excel because of their teamwork, commitment and passion.
