Roseburg dropped the series opener with North Medford Tuesday afternoon at Legion Field.

Starting pitcher Josh Berman gave up just one run over seven innings to lead the Black Tornado (11-2, 12-6) to the 2-1 victory.

Junior Chris Stone pitched a complete-game for the Indians (6-7, 8-9) and scored the team's only run following a lead off triple in the sixth inning. Stone game home on an RBI groundout by Grant Ronk.

Elsewhere, Douglas lost its Far West League game to Marshfield 14-1 in Winston.
