The Glide baseball team is the last Douglas County school remaining in the OSAA state playoffs.

The fourth-ranked Wildcats beat Horizon Christian 3-1 in an OSAA 3A state quarterfinal game on Friday.

Glide (23-3) takes on top-ranked Cascade Christian (24-3) Tuesday, June 2 in Medford.

Elsewhere, Reedsport lost at Burns 8-6; and North Douglas was eliminated by Regis 25-2.

Both local softball teams also lost on Friday as Douglas was beaten by  McLoughlin 4-0; and North Douglas was blanked by Union 3-0.
