ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The remaining two days of American Legion baseball tryouts for three Roseburg-based teams have been rescheduled for Wednesday & Thursday (June 3-4).

Legion baseball officials say field crews need extra time to complete the field work and initially reshceduled the tryout days for Tuesday & Wednesday, but this week's rain forced them back another day to Wednesday and Thursday.

Tryouts are for Roseburg's Dr. Stewart's, Pepsi and Umpqua Lions teams. Initial rosters are expected to be finalized soon.

The tryouts were originally scheduled May 28-31 before the field crew requested more time to get needed work done.

Eligible legion baseball players are ages 15 to 19.

The Docs open the 2015 season with a non-league doubleheader against Mid Valley on Saturday, June 13th at South Albany High School.
