Glide's dream of winning back-to-back state titles did not come true Friday in Keizer.

The fourth-ranked Wildcats suffered a 3-0 loss to Santiam Christian in the OSAA 3A championship game at Volcanoes Stadium.

Darren Crosby broke a scoreless tie with a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning off Glide starter Tylan Dubois.

The Wildcats (24-4) outhit the Eagles 7-2, but Crosby's blast proved to be the difference.  

Bryson Belloir and Jacob Fricke each had a pair of hits for Glide.
