ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Roseburg Brewers 25-and-older adult baseball team opened its season with a pair of wins Sunday, sweeping the Eugene Cardinals by scores of 7-4 and 11-9 at Roseburg's Sunshine Park.

The wins extend the Brewers' winning streak to 16 games, dating back to last season.

"We had some guys who hit very well today," said head coach George Miller, who also plays on the team. "I believe everyone who played today had at least one hit."

Kyle Ramos went 4-for-4 on the day despite being beaned three times by Cardinals pitchers.

Brady Fuller was 5-for-8 and knocked in five runs.

A total of seven Brewers hitters were hit by pitches Sunday -- five in the first game and two in the nightcap.

Roseburg (2-0) will host the Eugene Red Sox Sunday, June 14, in an EMSBL doubleheader. The first game starts at 11 a.m. at Sunshine Park.
