ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Roseburg Brewers 25-and-older adult baseball team extended its winning streak to 18 games with a doubleheader sweep over the Eugene Red Sox Sunday at Sunshine Park.

The Brewers (4-0) won the opener 9-1 and the nightcap 18-8. The second game ended in the fifth inning due to the 10-run mercy rule.

Pitcher Josh Carr picked up his second win of the season in the first game while Nick Bowers picked up his first win on the mound in game two.

Brady Fuller was 4-for-7 at the plate with a solo home run in the first inning of the second game and a pair of runs batted in.  

Kyle Ramos went 4-for-5 on the day with a solo home run and two RBI. George Miller was 3-for-6 with 4 RBI.  

The 18 straight wins date back to last year, where the Brewers won their last 14 games to close out the season.

Roseburg resumes EMSBL play on Father's Day Sunday, June 21, against the Eugene Cubs.

"These will be two hard, challenging games," said Brewers coach George Miller. "I feel we have a great group of guys who enjoy playing together.  If we can keep hitting the way we are I think we can take this all the way and possibly win our second championship in five years."

Game time next Sunday is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Sunshine Park in Roseburg.
