CLACKAMAS, Ore. -- The Roseburg Renegades Jr. State baseball team defeated Lake Oswego 9-5 for the Clackamas Futures Tournament championship Sunday.

Collin Warmouth pitched 5 innings, giving up 5 runs on 6 hits with 3 strikeouts and just 1 walk for the win. He was relieved by Zack Mandera who closed the door in the sixth and seventh.

Brendan Ibarra was 2-for-4 with a triple and 3 RBI to lead Roseburg at the plate. Garrett Russell was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI and Jacob Luther 2-for-2 with a run batted in.

"It was a great weekend for the boys," said coach Tim Sustaire. "Pitchers threw very well all weekend and the bats came alive. The boys are really buying in to how important the small ball game is. It was fun to be a part of this weekend."

The Renegades improved to 7-1 overall after picking up the four wins at the three-day tourney.

Up next is a single game at South Eugene on Thursday. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

CLACKAMAS, Ore -- The Roseburg Renegades Jr. State baseball team is 3-0 heading into the final day of the Clackamas Tournament.

Roseburg beat Oregon City 5-2 Friday afternoon in the opening round. Zack Mandera pitched seven innings for the complete game. Brody Black was 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBI.

In the first game Saturday, the Renegades blanked Jesuit 10-0. Josh Alexander pitched all five innings, giving up just one hit while striking out five. Brendan Ibarra was 2-for-3 with 2 doubles and Garrett Russell was 2-for-2 with a double.

The Renegades won their second game Saturday 14-8 over West Linn. Brody Black was the starter, throwing 2 1/3 innings before Stephen Assed came on in relief, going the rest of the way and giving up 2 runs on 3 hits. Black was 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and 4 RBI. Russell was 2-for-3 with a double and Jacob Luther was 2-for-2.

"The boys played very well Saturday," said coach Tim Sustaire. "We have great energy with the club right now."

Roseburg plays Lake Oswego in the championship game Sunday.
