ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Roseburg Brewers adult baseball team saw its 18-game winning streak come to an end Sunday, falling twice to the Eugene Cubs in a Eugene Mens Senior Baseball League doubleheader.

The Cubs (5-1 EMSBL) won the first game 6-1 and took the nightcap 13-2.

"We didn't hit like we can," said Brewers player/manager George Miller. "We play them again later in the season and we'll be a lot more prepared."

Roseburg fell to 4-2 in EMSBL play after winning four straight games to start the season. The 18-game winning streak dated back to 2014, when the team won its final 14 games to close out the season.

The Brewers take on the Eugene Expos next for a league doubleheader on Sunday, June 28. It will be the first road games of the season for Roseburg; game time is 11 a.m. at Creswell High School.
