150703 RenegadesBOISE, ID -- The Roseburg Renegades Jr. State baseball team continued its winning streak Thursday with a 7-2 win over the Boise Senators in the first round of the Boise Firecracker Invitational.

It was the Renegade's fourth straight win.

Zack Mandera pitched a complete game with 11 strikeouts while giving up just two runs on three hits and walking two for the win.

"It was a dominating performance," coach Tim Sustaire described Mandera's pitching.

Doran Gillepsie was 1-for-3 at the plate with a double and 2 RBIs; Brody Black went 2-for-5 with a double and RBI; Jacob Westwang was 2-for-4 with 3 RBIs.

"The boys played well going against a great lefty and a well coached team," added Sustaire. "It was a lot of fun to watch."

The Renegades continue tournament play Friday at Capital High School where they'll take on the Mt. View Toros at 2:30 p.m. and the Boise Capitals at 8 p.m.
