ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The single-A American Legion Baseball State Tournament returns to Roseburg's Legion Memorial Field this Saturday, July 27, with a field of eight teams, two of which represent the local area.

Roseburg's Dr. Randol's (12-10 overall) will kick off the tourney Saturday with a 10 a.m. game against Alpenrose Dairy of Portland.

In the Saturday finale at 7 p.m., the tournament host, Roseburg Pepsi (13-14), faces the La Grande Legends.

The five-day tournament ends with the championship game on Wednesday, July 31 (see tournament bracket below).

Here's a look at the schedule for opening day on Saturday:

• Game 1: Alpenrose Dairy vs. Roseburg Dr. Randol's, 10 a.m.
• Game 2: North Medford Mavericks vs. Stayton Bandits, 1 p.m.
• Game 3: North Coos vs. Central Point, 4 p.m.
• Game 4: La Grande Legends vs. Roseburg Pepsi, 7 p.m.
