ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Umpqua Community College women's basketball team won its official season opener Saturday, crushing Grays Harbor of Washington 96-27 at the UCC gym in Winchester.

Seven RiverHawks scored in double-digits with Cielo Gonzalez leading the way with 17 points.

Umpqua (1-0) is back in action this Friday, Nov. 29, with a game against the Metro All-Stars at the Clackamas Thanksgiving Tournament.

Meanwhile, the UCC men defeated the U of O Club Team 95-45 on Friday in Winchester.

The RiverHawk men (5-0) will host Multnomah on Monday, Nov. 25.
