The Oakland football team fell to St. Paul, 28-20, in the Class 2A state title game.
It was the No. 2-seeded Oakers' only loss of the season, finishing 12-1 overall. St. Paul entered the state tourney as the No. 5 seed and finished the season with an undefeated 13-0 record.
On its march to the title game, Oakland scored wins over Nestucca, Myrtle Point/Pacific, and Gervais.
In Class 1A's 8-man division, North Douglas fell to Adrian in the championship game, 66-12.
The Warriors notched playoff wins over Dufur and Crosspoint Christian to reach the title game.
NDHS finished the season with an 11-1 overall record.
Also reaching the first round was Camas Valley, which suffered a 75-24 loss at Cove.
In the Class 3A playoffs, both Sutherlin and South Umpqua suffered first-round losses.
The Bulldogs lost 35-0 to North Valley while the Lancers were defeated by eventual runner-up Vale, 56-14. Vale would go on to lose the state title game to Burns.
In Class 1A's 6-man division, Days Creek lost in the first round to South Wasco County, 51-13.
