BAKER CITY, Ore. - North Douglas finished the season strong with two straight wins in the 1A state tournament to take home the 4th place trophy.
Following a quarterfinal loss to Crane, the Warriors bounced back in the consolation rounds netting wins over North Clackamas Christian on Thursday and Country Christian on Friday.
In the 4th-place game, the Warriors' Brooklyn Cyr led all scorers with 30 points in their 46-43 win over Country Christian. Cyr scored 26 points Thursday in the Warriors' 43-38 vistory over North Clackamas Christian.
North Douglas finished the season with a 25-5 overall record.
North Douglas girls fall to Crane in 1A quarterfinals
BAKER CITY, Ore. - The North Douglas girls basketball team fell to Crane Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the OSAA Class 1A state tournament at Baker High School.
Crane, the No. 3 seed, defeated the Warriors 54-41. N. Douglas is the No. 6 seed.
ND took a 22-21 lead into the locker room at halftime, but the Mustangs outscored the Warriors 19-9 in the fourth quarter to pull away.
Brooklyn Cyr led the Warriors with 28 points.
North Douglas (23-4 overall) is back in action Thursday in the consolation bracket facing the loser of the North Clackamas Christian/Imbler game.
Crane (22-5) advances to the semifinals and will play again on Friday.
