The third-ranked Dawgs (1-0, 5-0) fell behind 7-0 when tailback James Simmons caught a screen pass and went 35 yards for a touchdown.

The Lancers (0-1, 2-3) still held a 7-6 lead after the opening quarter, but a 16 yard touchdown run by Kyle Jaukkuri; and a 33 yard TD scamper from Trevor Taylor gave Sutherlin a 20-7 halftime advantage.

Beau Grauf finished with three rushing touchdowns; and quarterback Chris Mock ended the scoring with a 54 yard run late in the fourth quarter.

Siuslaw upset number eight Douglas 35-27 despite three touchdown passes from Trojans' quarterback Tyson Dahl.

The senior signal caller has thrown 13 TD passes in his last three games.

Roseburg went to overtime to beat South Medford 31-28 in a District 1 game at Spiegelberg Stadium in Medford.

The fourth-ranked Indians improved to 3-0 in league and 5-0 overall.

Glendale is now 3-1 in the Mountain View Conference thanks to its 42-0 victory over Days Creek; Oakland (3-1) downed Riddle 44-6; and North Douglas (2-2, 2-3) upended rival Yoncalla 41-14.  

Elsewhere, Glide beat Central Linn 34-24; Camas Valley (1-1, 4-1) won its first District 2 game of the season with a 62-20 victory over Gilchrist; and Elkton (2-0, 4-0) remained unbeaten with a 44-42 win over Powers.
