jrhighwrestling.jpg Two Douglas County schools placed in the top five at the Middle School State Championships this weekend at Woodburn High School.

Crook County took home the team title with 142.5 points; followed by Sandstone (106); Jolane (77.5); and Glide (76.5).

Glide's Walker Damewood was the only local wrestler to win an individual title.

Second-place honors went to Freemont's Cole Van Anrooy; and Jolane's Taylor Otis and Ian Thomas.

Glide's Michael Farley and Jolane's Chad Jones finished third; Ryan Rondeau of Glide took fourth; and five wrestlers finished in fifth-place including Glide's Devin Freeman and Jake Forrester; Jolane's Dalton McHargue; Freemont's Layne Westwang; and Garrett Freeman of Sutherlin.
