Roseburg's Dr. Stewart's American Legion baseball team is now 3-0 at the Northwest Regional Tournament after defeating Kelso, WA 8-4 Saturday night. With the win, the Docs are one of four teams remaining and the only one without a loss.

Vince Ampi, Mitch Huff and Cameron Newell each had two hits a piece for the Docs, while Huff and Josh Graham each had two RBIs, Graham's coming on a two-run homer in the top of the fourth inning. Johnny Farrington, Huff, Newell and Ampi all doubled in the contest, while Kyle Jaukkuri had an RBI triple.

 Roseburg starting pitcher Jared Priestley picked up the victory on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up 10 hits, walking one and striking out four. Ampi relieved Priestley in the eighth, throwing to four batters before Brandon Jackson was brought in to pick up the save, striking out two Kelso batters in 1 1/3 innings.

Roseburg will take on Missoula, MT, at 4:30PM Sunday at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. In the early elimination game, Kelso will take on Wausau, WI, at 1:00PM. After an opening-round 14-0 loss to Roseburg, Wausau has bounced back to win its last two games to stay alive in the tournament.
