The Oakland baseball team utilized the hot bat of freshman Andrew Harrington who went 7-for-8 on the day as Oakland beat visitng Glendale 19-1 and 7-6 Saturday.

Sean Winn and Roy Benzel combined for a five-inning no-hitter in the first game for the Oakers (6-4 overall). Erik Moody led the way for the Pirates (1-7), going 3-for-4 with two runs scored.

Elsewhere Saturday, Yoncalla picked up a sweep over Gold Beach, winning 8-3 and 10-5 and Roseburg split its Southwest Conference doubleheader against Grants Pass.

In softball Saturday, Roseburg picked up two wins at Willamette, 16-1 & 17-6.

Oakland's softball team made it a clean sweep over Glendale 19-2 & 18-7.

South Umpqua defeated visiting Cottage Grove in a non-leaguer 6-4.

Yoncalla was swept by Gold Beach 12-2, 18-3.
